What is the Right Amount of Workout?
It is a common question that many people tend to ask. How much is too much and how much is too less? Well, it all depends on you actually. There is nothing that a body cannot take and almost nothing that you cannot do with your mind. To contemplate this, let us look at Josh. Working out for the right amount of time is important for many reasons so that you do not end up having an excess workout routine which may burn you and at the same time you do not want to have a laid-back routine that will make no difference at all. Experts say that having a routine of about a minimum of 3 days a week is a must and if any lesser than that would not make much difference to your body. However, if you need more specifics, if you are training for weight loss or fat loss, you need to take a day of complete rest between your workout sessions as it involves a lot of body movements to invoke your metabolism.
If you are working out to gain size, then a 5-day workout should do you just fine. You could also be training for strength and that would make it a minimum of a 4-day workout and you can add in a day for your weak links as strength training means heavy weights and heavy weights mean more exhaustion.
Now, this is all to make you play it safe. Having a safe routine does not mean that everyone follows the same. There are people like Josh who train every single day of the week. If you are up to it, you can push yourself and test your true potential all through it. Only when you push yourself you can find out your capacity and also be able to figure out what is going wrong and where.
Most importantly, you need to get to know your body and find your comfort zone and then you need to work on getting out of that comfort zone. It would mean nothing if a person would not want to push himself out of the comfort zone and get better. That said, if you intend to play it all safe, go ahead and follow a minimum workout routine as mentioned above but if you are into it, then you wouldn’t be keeping much of a count on the days.
